Riot Games is a well-known name in gaming and interactive entertainment, which means competition for Blockchain Engineer openings is strong. A generic resume rarely stands out. Tailoring it to the exact Riot Games posting — its keywords, its priorities — is the highest-leverage thing you can do.
What gaming and interactive entertainment employers like Riot Games tend to screen for
- Shipped titles or live features, with your specific role
- Tools and engines named in the posting (Unity, Unreal, proprietary)
- Player-facing results: retention, performance, quality
Gaming studios hire on shipped work. List titles with your role, platform, and result, and link a portfolio, demo reel, or playable build. Always read the specific Riot Games posting: the team, level, and location change what matters, and the posting’s own wording is the best guide to what to mirror.
Keywords hiring teams look for in a Blockchain Engineer resume
Applicant tracking systems and recruiters search for specific terms. For Blockchain Engineer roles these come up most often — include them only where they are true for you:
The first group comes from typical Blockchain Engineer postings; the last few are common in gaming and interactive entertainment. Use a term only if it honestly describes your experience.
Before and after: how a Blockchain Engineer-style bullet improves
Generic
Worked on smart contracts for a DeFi project.
Tailored
Wrote and tested Solidity contracts for a lending protocol (Foundry, 95% coverage) and fixed 3 high-severity findings from an external audit before mainnet launch.
Illustrative example. Numbers like these should always come from your own real results — useful metrics for this field include audits passed, test coverage, value secured, transactions processed, gas savings, protocols integrated. For gaming and interactive entertainment roles, results tied to Unity and Unreal Engine tend to resonate.
How to tailor your Blockchain Engineer resume in three steps
- Mark the must-haves. Read the posting and highlight the tools, skills, and responsibilities it repeats or labels “required”.
- Match them to your real experience. For each must-have, find the place in your history where you actually did it, and move that evidence to the top — using the posting’s wording where it is honest.
- Cut what doesn’t help. Shorten or remove bullets that don’t support this particular job. Two strong, relevant lines beat six generic ones.
That’s exactly what renewed.cv automates: it extracts the requirements, rewrites your real experience around them, fact-checks the result against your original, and shows you a before/after match score.
Common Blockchain Engineer resume mistakes
- Writing "blockchain" without naming the chains, languages, or protocols you actually used
- No links to code, deployments, or audits that a hiring team can verify
- Quoting TVL, volume, or returns without saying what you personally built or owned
Recommended structure: Summary → Technical skills (chains, languages, tools) → Experience → Projects and audits (with links) → Education.
