The Blockchain Security Researcher signals that earn a second look
In Web3 and blockchain hiring, the first read is fast. These are the things that matter most:
- verifiable work: GitHub repositories, deployed contracts, audit reports, on-chain addresses, or published research
- the chains and standards you have used (EVM, Solana, ERC-20/721) and the security practices behind your work
- comfort with fast-moving, remote, and async teams

Before and after: how a Blockchain Security Researcher-style bullet improves
Generic
Worked on smart contracts for a DeFi project.
Tailored
Wrote and tested Solidity contracts for a lending protocol (Foundry, 95% coverage) and fixed 3 high-severity findings from an external audit before mainnet launch.
Illustrative example. Numbers like these should always come from your own real results — useful metrics for this field include audits passed, test coverage, value secured, transactions processed, gas savings, protocols integrated.
How to tailor your Blockchain Security Researcher CV in three steps
- Mark the must-haves. Read the posting and highlight the tools, skills, and responsibilities it repeats or labels “required”.
- Match them to your real experience. For each must-have, find the place in your history where you actually did it, and move that evidence to the top — using the posting’s wording where it is honest.
- Cut what doesn’t help. Shorten or remove bullets that don’t support this particular job. Two strong, relevant lines beat six generic ones.
That’s exactly what renewed.cv automates: it extracts the requirements, rewrites your real experience around them, fact-checks the result against your original, and shows you a before/after match score.
