Applying for a Cloud Engineer role at Fiverr? Like most remote-first companies employers, Fiverr receives far more applications than it can read closely, so the resume that gets shortlisted is the one that makes the match to the posting obvious in seconds. Here’s how to tailor yours.
What remote-first companies employers like Fiverr tend to screen for
- Proof you work well independently and asynchronously
- Clear written communication and documentation habits
- Results delivered across time zones with little supervision
Remote-first employers read for autonomy. Show outcomes you delivered without supervision, the tools you use (Slack, Notion, Linear, Zoom), and your working time zone. Always read the specific Fiverr posting: the team, level, and location change what matters, and the posting’s own wording is the best guide to what to mirror.
Keywords hiring teams look for in a Cloud Engineer resume
Applicant tracking systems and recruiters search for specific terms. For Cloud Engineer roles these come up most often — include them only where they are true for you:
The first group comes from typical Cloud Engineer postings; the last few are common in remote-first companies. Use a term only if it honestly describes your experience.
Before and after: how a Cloud Engineer-style bullet improves
Generic
Worked on the backend of the payments service and fixed bugs.
Tailored
Owned the payments service backend: reduced checkout errors by 31% and cut p95 latency by 40% by redesigning retry logic.
Illustrative example. Numbers like these should always come from your own real results — useful metrics for this field include latency, uptime, throughput, users served, deployment frequency, cost saved. For remote-first companies roles, results tied to async communication and documentation tend to resonate.
How to tailor your Cloud Engineer resume in three steps
- Mark the must-haves. Read the posting and highlight the tools, skills, and responsibilities it repeats or labels “required”.
- Match them to your real experience. For each must-have, find the place in your history where you actually did it, and move that evidence to the top — using the posting’s wording where it is honest.
- Cut what doesn’t help. Shorten or remove bullets that don’t support this particular job. Two strong, relevant lines beat six generic ones.
That’s exactly what renewed.cv automates: it extracts the requirements, rewrites your real experience around them, fact-checks the result against your original, and shows you a before/after match score.
Common Cloud Engineer resume mistakes
- Listing every technology you have ever touched instead of the ones the posting asks for
- Describing duties ("worked on backend") instead of outcomes ("cut p95 latency from 800 ms to 220 ms")
- Burying the most relevant project under older, unrelated jobs
Recommended structure: Summary → Skills (matching the posting) → Experience → Projects → Education.

Frequently asked questions
Should I use the same resume for every Fiverr application?
No. Even within Fiverr, teams stress different skills. Tailor your resume to each posting so the matching experience for that specific Cloud Engineer role appears first.
What keywords should a Cloud Engineer resume for Fiverr include?
Take the keywords directly from the Fiverr posting. Typical Cloud Engineer terms include AWS, Azure, GCP and Terraform; remote-first companies employers also often value async communication, documentation and self-management. Include only what is true for you.
How long should a Cloud Engineer resume for Fiverr be?
One page for under ten years of experience, two pages for more. Recruiters at large employers skim quickly, so lead with the most relevant achievements.
Does renewed.cv work for Fiverr job links?
Paste the Fiverr job link or the full description text. If the link can’t be read automatically, pasting the text works the same way.
