A Freelance Writer resume for Immutable should be built around the specific posting, not around everything you’ve done. Below: what Web3 and crypto hiring tends to screen for, the keywords to mirror, and how to cut the noise.
What Web3 and crypto employers like Immutable tend to screen for
- Work a hiring team can verify: repositories, deployed contracts, audits, on-chain activity, or published research
- Security awareness and careful engineering in an environment where mistakes are expensive
- Comfort working in fast-moving, remote, and async teams
Web3 teams value proof over adjectives. Link your GitHub, deployed contracts, audit reports, or research, and name the chains and standards you have used (EVM, Solana, ERC-20/721). Always read the specific Immutable posting: the team, level, and location change what matters, and the posting’s own wording is the best guide to what to mirror.
Keywords hiring teams look for in a Freelance Writer resume
Applicant tracking systems and recruiters search for specific terms. For Freelance Writer roles these come up most often — include them only where they are true for you:
The first group comes from typical Freelance Writer postings; the last few are common in Web3 and crypto. Use a term only if it honestly describes your experience.
Before and after: how a Freelance Writer-style bullet improves
Generic
Ran email and social campaigns for the company.
Tailored
Launched a 6-step lifecycle email program that grew repeat purchases by 22% and added $180K in quarterly revenue on a $4K budget.
Illustrative example. Numbers like these should always come from your own real results — useful metrics for this field include traffic, leads, CAC, ROAS, open/click rates, revenue attributed, audience growth. For Web3 and crypto roles, results tied to smart contracts and DeFi tend to resonate.
How to tailor your Freelance Writer resume in three steps
- Mark the must-haves. Read the posting and highlight the tools, skills, and responsibilities it repeats or labels “required”.
- Match them to your real experience. For each must-have, find the place in your history where you actually did it, and move that evidence to the top — using the posting’s wording where it is honest.
- Cut what doesn’t help. Shorten or remove bullets that don’t support this particular job. Two strong, relevant lines beat six generic ones.
That’s exactly what renewed.cv automates: it extracts the requirements, rewrites your real experience around them, fact-checks the result against your original, and shows you a before/after match score.
Common Freelance Writer resume mistakes
- Saying "managed social media" without audience growth or conversion results
- No budget or scale shown for paid campaigns
- Listing tools but not the outcomes they produced
Recommended structure: Summary → Key skills & tools → Experience → Selected campaigns/portfolio → Education.

Frequently asked questions
Should I use the same resume for every Immutable application?
No. Even within Immutable, teams stress different skills. Tailor your resume to each posting so the matching experience for that specific Freelance Writer role appears first.
What keywords should a Freelance Writer resume for Immutable include?
Take the keywords directly from the Immutable posting. Typical Freelance Writer terms include Writing, Research, SEO and Editing; Web3 and crypto employers also often value smart contracts, DeFi and Layer 2. Include only what is true for you.
How long should a Freelance Writer resume for Immutable be?
One page for under ten years of experience, two pages for more. Recruiters at large employers skim quickly, so lead with the most relevant achievements.
Does renewed.cv work for Immutable job links?
Paste the Immutable job link or the full description text. If the link can’t be read automatically, pasting the text works the same way.
