What a recruiter checks first on a Welder resume

- licenses and tickets (CDL, journeyman, welding certifications) first
- types of equipment, codes, and projects you have worked on
- safety record and reliability

How to tailor your Welder CV in three steps
- Mark the must-haves. Read the posting and highlight the tools, skills, and responsibilities it repeats or labels “required”.
- Match them to your real experience. For each must-have, find the place in your history where you actually did it, and move that evidence to the top — using the posting’s wording where it is honest.
- Cut what doesn’t help. Shorten or remove bullets that don’t support this particular job. Two strong, relevant lines beat six generic ones.
That’s exactly what renewed.cv automates: it extracts the requirements, rewrites your real experience around them, fact-checks the result against your original, and shows you a before/after match score.
Common Welder resume mistakes
- Hiding licenses and expiry dates
- Not listing equipment, materials, or codes
- No mention of safety record or project scale
Recommended structure: Licenses & certifications → Summary → Experience → Equipment & skills → Education/training.
